It was a long afternoon Sunday for the Red Raiders. A glimpse of hope came late, but TCU ended up with the victory after proving to be too much for Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders simply had no answer early for the Horned Frogs, but that all changed after a 2-run triple by Tyler Neslony put Tech up 2-1 in the 8th.

TCU allowed 7 hits to the Red Raiders, even though starter Preston Morrison did a fantastic job for the Horned Frogs, earning 10 strikeouts, a personal best for him. He suffocated the Tech offense all game, until he was relieved in the top of the 8th.

TCU then regained the lead in the bottom of the 8th, putting up two runs, making it 3-2. That would be the final as Tech had no answer in the 9th.

TCU now advances to play Ole Miss, who lost to Virginia Sunday night. That game takes place on Tuesday.
