Out of respect for the tragedy that played out at OSU's homecoming parade, there was an internal discussion about the idea to refrain from using the phrase "Wreck 'Em" at the school's game against Oklahoma State.

Texas Tech has not officially made any announcement urging fans to avoid using the phrase at the game or on social media, but it's safe to say that it's probably the right thing to do.

A drunk driver hit part of the crowd at the Oklahoma State Cowboys' homecoming parade on Saturday, Oct. 24, killing four people and injuring 47.

This week, Texas Tech fans are also being asked to "Black Out The Jones." While not intended as a means to remember those who were killed, it kind of fits the somber mood already being set for this game.

Kickoff is Saturday, Oct. 31 at 2:30 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.
