Thirty-eight-year-old Reinaldo Cardoso Rivera is charged with murder after a dinner party in west Houston turned violent.

KPRC-TV in Houston reports that five men were fixing dinner and drinking at an apartment when the victim, 34-year-old Darwin Perez Gonzalez, took the last piece of chicken. Rivera apparently took exception and they began to argue.

The fight got physical and spilled into the parking lot where Rivera apparently stabbed Gonzalez and fled the scene.

Houston police say Rivera eventually returned and admitted to officers that he stabbed Gonzalez.

He was taken into custody and charged with murder.

Gonzalez died at the scene from his injuries.
