Cat-lovers might find this to be more of a cute critter, but they are unique to say the least with their small head, rounded ears and long sleek body.

Wild Earth Guardians says this unique cat's range is from Southeast Arizona, Southern Texas and through Mexico and Central America.

They only weigh around 11-18 pounds making them smaller than the ocelot who will sometimes prey on them since they share the same territory.  This is also why the jaguarundi is more active during the day, to avoid the nocturnal hunters.

One of their most unique features is their wide range of vocalizations, they have over 13 distinct calls, some are pretty intense.

Much of their habitat has been disappearing over the years making them harder and harder to see in wild.

Here's the sound of kittens fighting over food so you can imaging how vicious the adults are!
