Texas Tech Volleyball has a new coach in Don Flora, and he has them off to a winning start in his first year.
The Red Raiders went into the TCU tournament this weekend and came away with a 2 and 1 record. It's their best start to a season since 2008.

Tech opened the tournament losing to host TCU, but came back and swept both UConn and Grambling St. 3-0.

Coach Flora gave everyone a chance to play. In fact, he started an all freshman lineup in the second set against Grambling. Tory Vaughan was the only upperclassman to see action in the final two sets.

It looks like Flora has a pretty good trio in Amanda Dowdy, Breeann Davis, and Miara Cave. They all had double digit kills in the win against UConn.

There is some excitement with this volleyball team and you should try and get out and see them in action this weekend at the United Spirit Arena when they host the Texas Tech Invitational. It will be their home opener.
