The Red Raider volleyball had only 11 wins over it's last three seasons. Since head coach Don Flora took over this year, Tech surpassed that mark in mid-September and are standing at 14 and 3. But they are still looking for their first Big 12 win.

Tech hopes to get their first conference win against Baylor in Waco tonight. Tech opened their conference schedule against ranked opponents, #16 Iowa State losing 3-0 and #25 Oklahoma, losing to the Sooners in five sets.

Tech holds a 48-21 all time advantage over Baylor in the series between the two schools, but have not beaten Baylor since 2004.

The Red Raiders have one of the best in the Big 12 in Amanda Dowdy. She one of the conferences top performers in both and digs and kills catagories.

Plus to freshman Breeann David had double-digit kills in each of Tech's last two matches, including a career high 17 against Oklahoma.

Fans that come to Tech volleyball matches can see the improvement. Their 14 and 3 record is the best start for the program since 2000, when that team opened 16 and 1, on their way to a 24-9 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

First serve in Waco tonight is set for 7pm.
