This week William Clark Green's latest single "Sticks and Stones," is sitting proud on the top of the Texas Music Chart, at No. 1. Oh, yeah, and it can be found on one of the best selling albums in the genre right now.

Throughout the history of "Texas Music" there have been certain artists that stepped forward as... "leaders" per-say. These leaders made headway for the rest of our favorite artists. In the beginning, we had Pat Green, Cory Morrow and Roger Creager step up, followed by Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen etc etc etc.

William Clark Green's album Ringlin' Road won't be out till February of 2015, but the first single from it is already blasting up the Texas charts. Today Green released the lyric video for the song.

Well, it's official according to William Clark Green's Facebook page. Green's next project, Ringling Road, set for release in 2015, has wrapped and we are all excited, to say the least, for the East Texas native's follow up to Rose Queen.

Not that William Clark Green needs to explain anything to anyone, let alone me, but when he stopped by last week he was nice enough to fill me in on why he broke a promise he'd made to me. He also share details about his next album Ringling Road, and we discussed the difference between his No. 1 single, Hanging Around and Josh Abbott's current single, Hangin' Around.
