The United Family is once again stepping up to help the Lubbock community. On Tuesday it was announced that The United Family would be donating 1,000 pairs of socks to the Salvation Army of Lubbock.
The donation comes from a program called "Pears for Pairs"...
Lubbock's Salvation Army is sending out Pop Drop trucks to help us beat the heatwave this week. They're handing out icy cold freeze pops to anyone and everyone at several locations around town, according to their Facebook page.

The Salvation Army's Red Kettles will officially open for donations for the Christmas season today.at 1 p.m. at the Market Street United at 98th and Quaker. It's a tradition that dates back over a hundred years.
