Being the dog lover that I am it elates me when a no-kill animal shelter gets a major boost. That's what happened to Morris Safe House recently as they received $6,000 from the Lubbock Area Foundation.
Hemmi-the six toed kitten, world famous for being the only kitten known to man that will fetch like a dog, over and over again, was adopted recently from Lubbock Animal Services. He's grown a bunch, sleeps a lot, eats like a little pig... but the one thing he hasn't done?..He hasn't been neutered.
Hemmi, the six toed kitten, has learned a brand new trick. How to stack sheets of toilet paper...fairly neatly. Known for his fetching ability among other things, Hemmi has also learned a few acrobatic skills that we are still trying to get on video. Hemmi-the six toed kitten is surely a one of a kind.
Today we have Kahlua, a red and white Husky, looking to be adopted. Kahlua is a young female who needs a big backyard to call her own. She has one blue eye and the other is brown. Come by the shelter today and see her and all the other wonderful animals for adoption.
This big guy was found as a stray. This Mastiff is a brown and black brindle male and we need to get him back home. He was found in the northeast part of town.
Today we focus on finding Dottie a home. Dottie is a grey and black dachshund mix female that is already spayed and current on shots. She is an outdoor dog and listed as good with other dogs and children. Come see Dottie today!
