Every year a South Plains Barbershop group known as The Singing Plainsmen serenades people for Valentine's Day. And Monday morning, yours truly was delightfully surprised with a rose and song from the quartet, "Crosstown Sound". They are one of several Singing Plainsmen quartets going around Lubbock singing to whoever you'd like to send a love message.

For $35 they'll send a quartet to a designated location, sing a love song or two and present a flower to your sweetheart. They've surprised a lot of people through the years, from secretaries to warehouse workers. They'll take your calls at 806-445-9119 or 806-928-7990 until almost Valentine's Day with the deadline to book being Monday, February 13.

You can also go to their website harmonize.com/singingplainsmen for more information. This year you might want to consider giving the gift of music to your sweetie.
