A native of Longview, TX, Sunny Sweeney has been a longtime fan favorite here in her home state. Her high energy, rowdy, and acceptably irreverent personality have been winning folks over for years now. And now she has a whole new crop of fans to win over.

Sweeney who has seen big success in her music career with two Top 40 Mediabase singles ("Staying's Worse Than Leaving," and "Drink Myself Single"), a Top 10 smash courtesy of 2010's "From a Table Away," and an ACM nomination -- will now try her hand at talking instead of singing on the radio.

As tipped last month (Hot Air 5/6), veteran Country personality Blair Garner has been tapped to lead America's Morning ShowWNSH (Nash FM)/New York, beginning later this month. Joining Garner are co-hosts Terri Clark, Sunny Sweeney, Chuck Wicks and Lee Ann Womack, with news anchored by HLN's Robin Meade. The show will air live before a studio audience 6-10am ET from Nashville, with Meade delivering news segments twice hourly from her HLN anchor desk in Atlanta. Also joining the team is industry vet Heather McBee as Dir./Operations. She recently spent 20 years at Sony/Nashville, rising to VP/Marketing & Web Initiatives.

Looks like an interesting and fun cast. Good luck Sunny!
