In a recent interview with Robin Roberts from ABC, both members of Sugarland opened up about the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair. Just moments before they were set to perform in early August, high winds took down the rigging of their production, killing seven people and injuring 45. Jennifer Nettles revealed on "In the Spotlight: All Access Nashville" special which aired November 8, "..there are no words for that kind of, of tragedy and for the power of nature...When you are faced with your own mortality in that way, that brings some perspective too.

Everything suddenly looked dark and then wind, and then a crashing sound, a horrible metal torquing, twisting sound. And the ceiling of the dressing room torqued and shuddered, and everyone went to the wall because we didn't know what was happening, because we couldn't see, we're underneath." Kristen Bush shared an honest emotion--fear, "I was scared. I thought maybe a bomb went off. We were underground, we didn't know." What a nightmare for anyone to go through. Of course Sugarland continues to perform; however I'm sure will forever be affected by that August storm. Here's one of my favorite Sugarland tunes that they performed on television about a year ago.
