Spooky! Lubbock Animal Services Seeks Help Locating Person Who Dropped Off an Actual Bat
Well, this Friday is the 13th and it is Halloweenmonth (otherwise known as October, I guess), so of course Lubbock Animal Services needs help finding the person who dropped off an actual bat at South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
Much to my dismay, the poor thing died. However, it's important that the good Samaritan who tried to help the bat be found so that the city can pinpoint a possible rabies outbreak. I know none of us want rabies for ourselves or our pets. Or even more, bats, as they're precious flying puppies who eat mosquitoes so we don't get itchy. Sweet bats!
Here's the press release from the city with all the pertinent details:
INFORMATION SOUGHT ON ABANDONED BAT
