Some Okies Are Hopping Mad at Woman with Pet Kangaroo

A woman with a pet kangaroo named Irwin are moving from Broken Arrow to McAlester, Oklahoma. This sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it’s true. And it’s all because a city ordinance was violated. Christie Carr says she decided to move because of all the fuss. According to the Associated Press, the city council of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma created an exotic animal ordinance exemption which would have allowed Christie to keep Irwin. But because Christie failed to turn in the necessary paper work, the city threatened to seize Irwin. So, to resolve the matter, Christie opted to just move. And I thought I had strange pets. My Brazilian tree frogs can’t even compete!
