When I was a kid, I had aspirations to be a movie or television star, actress, someone famous. Wait a minute, that's not such a silly thing. The top ones get paid good. Er, I mean 'well', really well! Check this out. According to "TV Guide" producer  Simon Cowell is the highest paid celebrity on TV. He gets 75 million dollars for producing and judging on the new show from Fox, "The X Factor". The highest paid sitcom star? Ashton Kutcher, the new guy on "Two and a Half Men", who gets between $700,000 and $900,000 per episode! Hugh Laurie, from "House", gets $700,000 an episode as the highest paid dramatic actor. And "Law and Order's" Mariska Hargitay earns $395,000 an episode!

As far as talkshow hosts, Letterman gets an annual paycheck of $28,000,000; Jay Leno earns $25 million and Kelly Ripa from "Live with Regis and Kelly" snags $20 million annually. Wow! They're getting it, so they must be worth it, don't you think? Hmmmmmm.
