Your long wait is almost over, Scotty McCreery fans. The ‘American Idol’ winner’s first album, ‘Clear as Day,’ is just a couple of  weeks away from release, and you’ll finally be able to hear the rest of what the ‘I Love You This Big’ singer has in store for you.

And if you don’t like it? Well, you can blame Scotty’s mom.

During a recent interview, McCreery revealed that during the song selection process for ‘Clear as Day,’ he leaned heavily on his mother. “Mama cried on a couple of them so we told all the guys to label them,” he recalled, explaining, “When they sent me songs and demos I would email them back and say, ‘Well, it passed the Mama crying test so it must be a good one.’”

“Hopefully it will have the same effect on you guys out there,” McCreery added, going on to say he thinks the album’s 12 tracks are a solid blend of “rockin’ songs where they will be loud and upbeat and then some intimate songs … some of them will make you cry.”
