Vicki Riffe was on her way to Austin to see her daughter when she noticed something strange with the man sitting next to her.

According to the story from KXAN, the Virgin America flight from San Francisco to Austin was delayed because Riffe had expressed concerns with the man next to her.

The report reads that Virgin America spokeswoman Christie O’Toole says the incident happened aboard Flight 218 yesterday (5/28) when Riffe claims she saw the man writing a note that included a threat to hurt others on the flight.

The incident happened during the taxi on the runway. The flight returned to the gate where authorities removed the male passenger. Riffe says she was "scared to death" and had to tell someone.

The report says about 10 people chose to get off the plane and take a later flight. Medical professionals were evaluating the passenger who allegedly wrote the note.
