On the "retro rack" is a singer who is the daughter of a country music legend Johnny Cash. She is Rosanne Cash.

 

Rosanne studied drama at Vanderbilt University and then moved to Los Angeles to study acting a Lee Strasberg's Institute.

In the 70's, she spent time in Europe and recorded an album in 1978 in Germany that included German based musicians. Three tracks on the album were recorded in Nashville and were produced by Rodney Crowell, who Cash would later marry.

She and Crowell worked on demos together and with his help, she landed a recording contract with CBS Records.

In 1979 the year she and Crowell were married is the year her first album for CBS was released, called "Right or Wrong". Many of the back up musicians were members of Emmylou Harris' Hot Band.

Her next album was released in 1981. It was call "Seven Year Ache", also produced by Rodney Crowell. It went gold and the title track, which she wrote, was her first of 11 number one songs.
