Randy Travis broke onto the country music scene in the mid 80's. He has recorded a dozen studio albums, putting thirty singles on the "Billboard" Hot Country Songs charts, sixteen of which went to number one.
Travis won the Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance two years in a row for the albums "Always & Forever" in 1988 and for "Old 8x10" in 1989. He also was the Country Music Association's "Male Vocalist of the Year" in 1987 and 1988.
Travis also appeared in films and on television and was featured in several episodes of the hit T.V. show "Touched By An Angel".
