The Rice MOB Just Pissed Off Every Single Baylor Fan With Their Halftime Show [Watch]

It just might be the most controversial college football halftime show of all time.

Rice University's Marching Owls Band took a shot at opponent Baylor with a halftime show that featured band members forming the Roman numeral IX -- as in, Title IX.

Ouch.

Houston Chron sports reporter Adam Coleman, who was at the Friday night game in Houston, tweeted video of the performance, which you can watch in all its jaw-dropping glory above.

According to Coleman, Rice's MOB lined up in the IX formation facing Baylor's side of the field. They also took a jab at former Baylor President Ken Starr by lining up as a star on the field before leaving to the song, "Hit the Road, Jack."

To make things even more awkward, fired Baylor head coach Art Briles was reportedly at the game, watching from the stands.

Needless to say, Baylor fans were not pleased with Rice's performance. Many booed during the MOB's performance, says Coleman. Others took to Twitter to vent:

Others used the opportunity to pile on Baylor some more.

And at least one Twitter user tried to be serious about the whole thing:

Baylor has been the subject of intense criticism and Title IX lawsuits due to its documented mishandling of sexual assault cases involving football players.

The report into Baylor's practices, among other things, revealed the following:

The University's student conduct processes were wholly inadequate to consistently provide a prompt and equitable response under Title IX; Baylor failed to consistently support complainants through the provision of interim measures; and in some cases, the University failed to take action to identify and eliminate a potential hostile environment, prevent its recurrence or address its effects.

Baylor went on to defeat the Owls, 38-10.
