11 years ago on this day, too many Americans lost their lives, many lost their loved ones, but one nation stood together to face it together.

It was 11 years ago today that the World Trade Center Towers were attacked by terrorists in hijacked airplanes.

Blake wants to take a moment to recognize all of the who lost their lives that day.

I was eleven years old when I was standing in the library in middle school checking out my next A.R. book. Our library has a big screen tv in the corner that always had either educational videos or the news on. That morning, it was the news.

I didn't understand why my librarian was distracted with tears in her eyes. I didn't understand that what was on the T.V. was real and not an action movie.

I do remember going back to class, walking down the hall and noticing that all of my teachers were not teaching, but turning on their classroom televisions. When I got back to my class, my teacher began explaining to the class what was happening.

Everyone has a story about where they were when 9/11 happened. It's not something lightly forgotten or lightly tolerated.

Blake and everyone up here at the radio station want to let everyone who lost a loved one in the attack that our hearts and prayers go out to you. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has served and is serving in the armed forces to protect our nation and our freedom.

Where were you when it happened?
