It was a Halloween promotion night and the Texas Tech Volleyball team couldn't have gotten a bigger treat than their first conference win this season, beating Baylor in five sets. It was also the first Big 12 win for new head coach Don Flora.

Fans could just feel that this win was going to come. The team has really battled hard this season. They've come close in earlier games. Losing in five sets to #25 Oklahoma and Texas A&M. You knew sooner or later this group was going to get over that hurdle.

Last night they did just that. In the fifth set, Baylor jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but the Red Raiders went on an 8-2 run and never looked back.

What made it even more special was that Tech lost the fourth set 25-10, but shook that off and came back and got the win.

Tech is now 15-9 overall and two wins away from their first winning season since 2001.

Congratulations to coach Don Flora, his staff and the Red Raider Volleyball team. Job well done.
