The victory marked the third time the Red Raiders (12-12) had run-ruled an opponent this season as Tech also recorded five-inning routs over both DePaul (Feb. 20) and Prairie View A&M (Feb. 21).

The Red Raiders picked up their third straight win mainly courtesy of the long ball as Fultz erased an early two-run deficit with her first inning grand slam, while Thomey and Lea Hopson both went deep in Tech's nine-run fourth inning.

It was the first career grand slam for both Fultz and Thomey as Tech now has four on the season, its most since 2011 when the Red Raiders belted five.

Chandler Moore (5-3) benefited from the run support as she garnered the win in relief after surrendering two runs off four hits in three full innings. Moore relieved Cara Custer early in the third inning following a RBI double from Britnea Barilli.

Thomey finished 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBI as she was one of four Red Raiders with two hits, joining Jordan Bettiol (2-for-4), Fultz (2-for-3) and Brooke Scott (2-for-3).

Thomey  went 11-for-17 at the plate this weekend with nine RBI as she had a hit in all five games and at least two hits in each of Tech's final three contests. She now has six multiple-hit games this year and a team-leading eight multiple-RBI performances.

Hopson's two-run homer in the fourth was her team-leading fifth of the season and 12th of her career. Hopson is now four home runs shy of 10th place all-time in the Tech career record book.

Tech's nine runs in the fourth marked its most in an inning since the Red Raiders jumped out to a commanding lead with 10 runs in the opening frame on March 1 last year against Rhode Island. It is the 13th time Tech has scored four or more runs in an inning this year.

The strong performance at the plate allowed Tech to match its season highs for runs (13), home runs (3) and total bases (23) while also setting a new mark with 13 RBI.

The Red Raiders will return to the road again this week for a Wednesday doubleheader at UTEP. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. at Helen of Troy Field in El Paso.
