We surprised Goodwill Lubbock with Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes to say thank you and to spotlight and better understand what they do.

We want to acknowledge them for all of their hard work and dedication and let them know we appreciate their efforts in our community.

We spoke with Chief Executive Officer Robin Raney (watch our interview in the video above). Goodwill has many different things they do to support the community. Some you may never have realized. There are some great opportunities here that may surprise you.

Aside from the Goodwill Thrift Stores, Deja Blue Boutique is also run by Goodwill.

Goodwill also offers free job training. You can learn to write a resume, a cover letter and complete an on-line job application. They offer Microsoft office computer skills training, including a free certificate of completion from South Plains College. They will help you prepare for job interviews as well.

"We're truly in the people business," Raney said.

Goodwill accepts every type of donation as long as it's environmentally safe and they generate most of their own revenue through their business lines such as Secure Document Destruction, Salvation Recycling, and Amazon.com Used Books.
