Read! Wednesday August 9th Is National Book Lovers Day

Do you love books? This is your day to celebrate them! We are encouraged to spend the day with a good book for National Book Lovers Day according to the National Days Calendar.

With so much digital reading in the world how many of us still read books? 76% of Americans have read at least one book in the past year according to Pew Internet research. Reportedly this statistic has not shifted much in recent years.

The popularity of Barnes & Noble is always great to see for me. Books are still right by the check out at the drug store, and many of us apparently still prefer a bound book to an e-book.

For National Book Lover's Day find your favorite new or old book and spend some time with it. It's always great to share a book with a friend, and #NationalBookLoversDay to share on social media.
