Purple Squirrel Found in Pennsylvania

A couple in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania has squirrel traps in their yard to keep the critters out of the bird feeders. And Percy and Connie Emert have caught their share of squirrels. In fact one of the creatures was purple! And I don't mean just slightly purple, but REALLY purple.

After releasing the animal into the wild, the couple took photos they'd taken to the experts at AccuWeather.com and the Pittsburgh Zoo. Officials told the Emerts it probably came into contact with something that dyed its fur, like berries, or even got into a Porta John. Or maybe Katy Perry's hairdresser?!?
