Poor Tech Students Get Free Help
Let’s face it, unless you’re Bill Gates, money is ALWAYS a problem, but more so when you’re trying to manage it while going to college. Texas Tech University’s personal financial planning department offers students their very own, free-of-charge, personal banker. It’s called “Red to Black” and is located in room 153 of the Human Sciences Building on Tech campus. With roughly 30 student-volunteer counselors and one coordinator, they offer free and confidential financial advice to students. It’s hoped students will take advantage of the services early rather than waiting until a crisis arrives. For more information, visit their website at www.r2b.ttu.edu.
