The book nerd in me is excited about this, I'll admit it. It's been awhile since the first Percy Jackson film, but I think that will make this second one better.

The Percy Jackson series is at a middle school reading level, so they're super easy reads for kids, pre-teens, and young adults, but are overall entertaining. Or at least I thought so.

My little brother is actually the one who got me stuck on those books. I even started reading them to my older brother on car trips. We all enjoyed them despite our age differences, because they're just fun. You get action, love, drama, mythology, and humor that isn't dirty or forward. It's a nice change of pace from a lot of today's comedy.

The Sea of Monsters is the second book in the series and, of course, the second movie. I recommend seeing the first one before so you'll get more into the second one, but it doesn't look like you wouldn't understand if you didn't.

Keepin' my fingers crossed that this is a good one!
