Once a Red Raider, always a Red Raider.

Former Texas Tech quarterback and the man who's breaking records left and right for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, reunited with his coach and mentor, Kliff Kingsbury, on the sidelines Saturday in Arlington.

Before Texas Tech faced off against the Baylor Bears at JerryWorld, the pair shared an embrace on the field and spoke for about a minute. Sadly, the stadium ambiance makes it nearly impossible to discern exactly what they're saying.

The meeting also juxtaposed the current situations both Kingsbury and Mahomes are facing in their professional lives.

Many believe Kingsbury is playing for his job today. After a promising start to the 2018 season with true freshman QB Alan Bowman, Kingsbury and co. have lost four games in a row, making the Baylor game their last shot at a bowl game.

Contrast that with Mahomes, who's not only breaking records and earning top 10 play spots for his unreal on-field skills, but has captured the imagination of the country with his down-to-earth, everyman love of all things ketchup. His team is having plenty of fun trolling Mahomes for the latter.
