Extremely heavy traffic is expected in the Hub city in and around the United Spirit Arena due to the sold out Taylor Swift show and Tech officials are changing some of the parking routines on Friday. Concert attendees and those around the Tech campus will see some changes as you come upon the United Spirit arena. Texas Tech Announces Parking Changes for Taylor Swift Concert

Due to homecoming events this weekend, parking for the Taylor Swift concert Friday (Oct. 14) at the United Spirit Arena will be revised.

Concert doors are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Fans are advised to expect heavy traffic and arrive early if possible.

Parking changes will be as follows:

On-Site Parking: Free concert parking will be available in C15 (the lot west, north and south of KTXT-TV, accessible by Knoxville and Texas Tech Parkway) and in lots C12 and C14 (south and west of the animal science building, accessible by Marsha Sharp Freeway). These lots will not be accessible by Indiana Avenue.
Texas Tech football tailgaters will occupy the lot west of the United Spirit Arena immediately across Indiana Avenue (C13), the lot west of the School of Law (C17), and portions of the C16 lot at Marsha Sharp Freeway and Texas Tech Parkway.

Park and Ride: Complimentary shuttle service will be provided from free parking located at the north side of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, accessible by Fourth Street.

Guest Drop-off: Indiana Avenue will be open in front of the arena only for drivers dropping off concertgoers for the event and ADA parking pass holders. Guest drop-off will be curbside, immediately west of the arena in the right lane only.

ADA Parking: ADA Parking for those with ADA plates or hang-tags will be available in the R37 lot immediately west of the arena, accessible by Indiana Ave. from the south, and in the western side of C11, accessible by Main Street from Flint Avenue.
