Olympic Gold Medalist Matt Grevers Proposes to Girlfriend on Medal Stand [VIDEO]

Olympic athletes are always looking for gold, but for one Olympic hopeful it was something a little different. It was a diamond and just in time for Valentine's Day.

This past weekend at the Missouri Grand prix, 2008 two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, swimmer Matt Grevers surprised is girlfriend of four years, Annie Chandler an Olympic hopeful, with the diamond ring.

Chandler was asked by organizers of the event to help out with the medal ceremony. Matt won the 100 meter backstroke, so Annie put the medal around Matt's neck, and after the silver and bronze medal winners left the podium, Matt asked Annie back up to the podium.

That's when he got down on one knee, showed her the ring and asked her to marry him. She said yes and the crowd erupted in applause.
