Before Saturday, the 19th-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team had never won nine conference games in a row. After Saturday, they have chance to build on their new record.

The Red Raiders have now won three games in a row over ranked opponents this week, starting with a road victory over no. 5 Florida State on Wednesday. They now hold a commanding lead in the Big 12 Conference with a 10-1 record and 4.5 game lead over TCU and Texas.

The Red Raiders took an early 2-0 lead in the first frame and never looked back in the victory Saturday afternoon. Cory Raley savaged the Cowboys' pitching staff, going four of five at the plate and driving in four runs.

On the mound for the Red Raiders, the bullpen would come up big as they did on Friday night. Robert Dugger and Hayden Howard would combine for five innings of relief giving up just one run combined on just four hits.

Texas Tech looks for the series sweep against the Cowboys with first pitch at 1 p.m. from Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater. The game can be watched on Fox College Sports.
