New Walmart Opens on South Quaker Today

The newest Walmart in Lubbock will be opening this morning, April 6 at 8 a.m. The celebrations will start at 7:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting by The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. The new Walmart is set to open on 114th and Quaker.

"The new store will offer a full line of affordable, fresh produce and groceries, including organic and natural selections, in addition to local favorites," Walmart said in a written statement. "The store will also feature quality, value-priced general merchandise."

This store will be the fifth one to open in town and signifies Lubbock's expansion South.
