A former American Idol star and American Idol judge are just two artists with country music releases coming in July 2016. Steven Tyler and Kree Harrison will finally let fans hear what they've been working on, but they're hardly the biggest names on this list.

On July 8, Harrison's This Old Thing and Mark Chestnutt's Tradition Lives will be released. David Nail will drop his Fighter album on the same day as Tyler's (July 15). Meanwhile the month will close with projects from Big Smo and Hillary Scott & the Scott Family.

Jake Owen's American Love closes the month, and it's arguably the most hotly-anticipated album of his career. It's his first since divorcing in 2015, and fans want to know how much he'll share on the 11 songs. "American Country Love Song" is a fine representative of an album that does explore love and love lost. As for how personal it gets... well, you'll have to a wait a few weeks.
