NBC Cuts “Under God” From Pledge Of Allegiance Before U.S. Open [VIDEO]

Before the start of the U.S. Open, NBC ran a video of people reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

It was a nice patriotic piece except for one part of the pledge was missing. "Under God" was cut out.

According to the Washington Post, NBC apologized and said it was not done to upset anyone.

The question is how does a media outlet like NBC leave out such a powerful statement like "under God" and then say they didn't mean to offend anyone.
