NASA Launches a monster truck sized rover on an eight and a half month trip to Mars. The Mars Rover "Curiosity" will make its several stage landing sometime in the summer of 2012 with more exploration tools than any previous rover have been able to carry. The Curiosity will be equipped with a jackhammer drill, a rock busting laser machine, and other devices built to search for even the smallest forms of life. The Curiosity is ten feet long, seven feet high at it's mast, with a nuclear powered laboratory holding 10 science experiments to sample and break down the martian soil. The Curiosity will spend over two years at the Gale Crater on Mars, picked from over 50 potential sites to land and explore.
