Miranda Lambert started off the 2014 CMAs with a 1-2 punch, coming straight off a duet with pop star Meghan Trainor to snag the Single of the Year award for her song ‘Automatic.' She faced off against not only her husband Blake Shelton, but other mega stars like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Dierks Bentley and Eric Church.

Lambert gracefully stepped on stage looking stunning a fun '80s-chic ensemble and took the mic next to the producers of the single, Frank Liddell and Glenn Worf. She thanked her 'girlfriends' and co-writers, Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby, then noted the song ‘really has a special place in [her] heart’ before handing the mic over to Liddell and Worf for their thank-yous.

Congrats to Lambert on the first win of the night!
