Miranda Lambert has become one of country music's top female singers. In fact she has won seveal awards that include Female Vocalist of the Year last year at the CMA's and the ACM's. She also walked away with a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

In fact it was on this day in 2010 Lambert scored a gold record with "White Liar". It was off her album "Revolution" that won the "Album of the Year award at both the ACM's and CMA's in 2010.

But let's go back to the beginning. She's from Lindale, Texas which is east of Dallas. She went Nashville in 2003 and successfully auditioned for the T.V. show " Nashville Star". Miranda finished third in the competition which got a recording contract.

The next year, 2004, Miranda released her first single. The song "Me and Charley Talking" only made it into the Top 30, but it got her career off and running.
