McDonalds Helping All-Lubbock Band Get to the Rose Parade

Coming up January 2, 2012 is a big day for a lot of young Lubbockites. The All-Lubbock Band will be marching in the 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade. They are the only band from Texas that's been invited to participate. The All-Lubbock band is made up of bands from Monterey, Estacado, Coronado and Lubbock High Schools. As individuals and businesses donate, McDonalds restaurants are getting involved in the fund-raising efforts. And you can too. This Wednesday, November 9, from 5 -8 p.m. 20% of the sales at 12 McDonalds in Lubbock will go to the band's trip to the Rose Parade, which by the way is the first time a Lubbock band has marched in the parade. The parade's 2012 theme, "Just Imagine", fits the Lubbock ambassadors' novice situation well. What an adventure for these high-schoolers! Congrats!
