Mattress With Graphic Drawings has Odessa Residents Losing Sleep
An elderly couple claims that leaving the mattress on their property is some kind of terrorism.
KWES reports that 82-year-old Jean McDaniel and her husband were frightened by the mattress that was placed in front of their garage door. She told reporters, "To me, this is a type of terrorism, I'm 82 years old and it scared me to death and my husband too and he's a heart patient."
She contends that whoever left the mattress there could have easily thrown in a city dumpster just 20 feet away.
There were hand-written graphics on the mattress that she thought were obscene and graphic.
When she called police they looked it over and told her she has nothing to worry about, people throw things in the alleys all the time
McDaniel said she's afraid whoever did this might come back and hurt her and her husband in some way.
