Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Lubbock
One man was killed during the afternoon hours of June 21 after his motorcycle crashed into a truck on an Interstate 27 service road north of Loop 289.
Lubbock Police said the truck was traveling southbound and attempting to slow down and turn in to a motel when it was struck from behind by the motorcycle.
After the collision, the motorcycle reportedly slid several feet across the pavement before coming to a stop.
The driver was rushed to University Medical Center with critical injuries, but was later pronounced dead. No names have been released, and LPD continues to investigate.
