Lubbock Veterans Group Hosting Remembrance Ceremony on Tuesday

The Military Order of the Purple Heart is hosting a special event for National Purple Heart Day on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018.

This important gathering is set for 7:55 a.m. at the Lubbock Area Veterans War Memorial. Additionally, the 55 fallen Americans who were recently brought home from North Korea will be honored at this ceremony, according to Commander of the Purple Heart Steve Oien and Lubbock veteran purple heart father Danny Koch.

The Lubbock Veterans War Memorial is located at Harry Huneke Park, 82nd Street and Nashville Avenue.
