Lubbock’s Teasters Is the First in the U.S. to Create Tea-Infused Wine
We all love our tea, but how about infusing it with wine? Teasters Tea Company puts Lubbock on the map in a whole new way.
This week, they've launched this brand new concept.
The owner of Teasters wanted to create something that no one else had done which could be a new and healthy beverage choice. Wine-infused with tea requires a special machine, Teasters owner Rick Austin explained to Lonestar 99.5.
A great deal of time was spent creating the machine, which extracts flavor from tea leaves with pressure, not water, and then infuses it into wine. Both drinks also offer antioxidant value, now doubling the health benefits in one glass.
The flavor is one-of-a-kind and unique, and a great deal of time was spent creating just the right recipes to balance the subtle flavors of tea and wine, Austin said.
Austin said they have created several flavors, and if you want a healthy drink unlike anything you've ever tasted think about discovering tea-wine.
Teasters Tea Company is located at 4601 S. Loop 289.
