Lubbock Police will be shutting down a portion of 4th Street Thursday morning (Sept. 20) for an accident investigation.

Police will temporarily shut down the intersection of 4th Street and Texas Tech Parkway around 9 a.m. and the closure is expected to last two hours.

North, south, and westbound traffic will be diverted before the intersection. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and forced to turn on Texas Tech Parkway.

This closure will allow police to investigate a crash that occurred on Sunday that injured five people.
