National Night Out has been a great event that has been held for many years throughout the nation. And Lubbockites always get in on the act.

The purpose of National Night Out is the build relationships all while helping to heighten crime prevention awareness.

 This campaign will send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Mae Simmons Community Center
Mae Simmons Community and Adult Activity Centers will be hosting their 2nd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Join us for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, games, an information fair, hot dogs by Atmos Energy, bingo, and more. This is a free family event and is open to all ages.  A special thanks to our co-sponsors StarCare Specialty Health System, Atmos Energy, East Lubbock Community Alliance, and Lubbock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Mae Simmons Community and Adult Activity Centers are located at 2004 Oak Avenue.  For more information, call 767-2700 or 767-2708.

 Maggie Trejo Supercenter
Enjoy an evening with friends and neighbors to band together against drugs, gang violence and crime. Trejo Supercenter will be hosting their first ever National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.  Come out and enjoy carnival games, hot dogs, an information fair, music and more!  Admission is free for all ages.  Trejo Supercenter is located at 3200 Amherst.  For more information, call the center at 767-2705.

Copper Rawlings Community Center
Rawlings Community Center will be hosting National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Families will enjoy kids’ games, hot dogs, door prizes and entertainment by Grammy award winner Javier Galvan from Grupo Fama.  Thanks to our co-sponsors Freedom Baptist Church and Amerigroup.  This event is for all ages, and it’s free!  Rawlings Community Center is located at 213 40th Street.  For more information, call the center at 767-2704.
