Wednesday night (June 21), a Lubbock man was arrested after a vehicle chase in Central Lubbock.

KAMC News reports that officers were called to the Walmart location at 4215 South Loops 289 for the report of a theft. Police were informed that a man was stealing knives. An officer saw 44-year-old Robert Fulford running from the Walmart to get into a vehicle.

Police attempted to stop Fulford, but he did not stop and continued to drive away. A pursuit ensued, and officers were able to arrest Fulford in an alley near 66th street and Joliet Avenue.

As of Thursday (June 22), Fulford is being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $3,750 bond.
