Tuesday, November 22nd.there will be a ribbon cutting and ceremony to make this official as an annual Lubbock event.

There are a lot of ways to contribute and participate. But the key is to choose the nonprofit organization(s) you would like to contribute to and make your donation(s). It is a collective effort with a significant overall goal of $175,000.

Seventy-three local nonprofits have joined the 2016 campaign so far. You can view them  and contribute on the Giving Tuesday LBK website.

Cassie Johnston, Lubbock Giving Tuesday campaign director and executive director of Alström Angels.said in a press release "When we work together extraordinary things will happen."

According to the press release, cities around the world are participating in this great day and social media is making significant connections to raise awareness.

It is being called the 2016 #GivingTuesdayLBK campaign additionally.
