Lubbock bar The Library will host a special Grand Reopening on Friday, August 19 with new owners, a new look and a little slice of Austin in the Hub City.

New owners Mark and Jessica Martinez have pulled out all the stops during the renovation process, not only redecorating the interior, but also adding arcade games and new pool tables. The owners also plan to start Lubbock's first 21+ Skee-ball league in September.

Martinez, who graduated from Texas Tech University, says they want The Library to be more than just a college bar.

They'll offer high-end bourbons for young (and older) professionals, a new frozen margarita machine for the ladies and live acoustic music on the first Friday of every month. And yes, there will be plenty of beer on tap for sports fans looking to watch the Red Raiders wreck 'em this fall.

The Library is also hosting an after-party for Hub City On Tap, which goes down Saturday, August 27 and is open to everyone.

The Library's Grand Reopening celebration kicks off Friday, August 19 at 4 p.m. with a live performance by local artist Jenni Dale Lord, various drink specials and giveaways.

The Library is located at 1701 Texas Ave. in Lubbock's Depot District.
