The good folks at Sandia National Laboratories have developed a bullet that can actually be guided by laser to its target.  Sandia has a wide expertise in miniature technology, and the bullet acts like a little bitty guided missile.  If 50 cal. is little bitty.   Instead of shooting straight like most bullets, these twist and turn and can re-adjust it's target up to 30 times per second while in flight.  Military experts say that this could help accuracy and speed in taking a target.  Experts say they are about 50 percent of the way to seeing the bullet reach commercial capacity.
