Aspiring country star Kree Harrison performed the pop classic 'What the World Needs Now Is Love' on 'American Idol' Wednesday night (April 10), once again earning universal praise from the judging panel for her seemingly effortless interpretation.

The night's theme required each contestant to sing a selection from the canon of Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Many of the contestants -- who arguably might not be very aware of those songs -- struggled with the challenging chord voicings and unusual melodies of the material, delivering performances that were well below par. But Harrison sailed through the song with her trademark effortless grace, demonstrating that she doesn't have to sing with power to be effective.

"You know who you are and you sing as Kree," Mariah Carey said, lauding Harrison's effortless ability. "I loved the arrangement."

Keith Urban praised her for her ability to connect with both the songs and the audience. "You have real, genuine compassion for people," he said. "That's what comes through in your voice."

Nicki Minaj praised Harrison's mix of humility and confidence, proclaiming, "You are ready." She added that every country producer and writer is already lining up to be a part of the album Harrison will make.

"This is singing!" Randy Jackson exclaimed. "This is what it's about."

Harrison will learn her fate on the results show Thursday night (April 11) -- but it's incredibly unlikely that she is in any danger after the performance she gave on Wednesday.
